Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much does it cost to ride Blue Duck?

      • You would spend less money riding a Duck than you would buying a cup of coffee, and get to your destination faster than you would with other rideshare options. Our pricing varies based on market. Download our app for more info in your area.

  • How do I get a Duck?

      • Download our app in the App Store or Google Play. Then, set up an account with us. You will be able to scan or input the code on a nearby Duck with the app. Once your Duck is scanned or the code has been used, you can start your ride.

  • How do I land my Duck?

      • When you are ready to complete your ride, pull over to a safe location and stop riding. Open the app and swipe ‘End’ and your ride will conclude. Remember to park in specified locations in our markets with required parking zones.

  • Where do I park them?

      • Blue Ducks are dockless in most of our cities.  If your city requires you to park in specific areas, these areas are visible in the app.  If you attempt to park in a no parking area, you will not be able to end your ride until you are in a parking area.  In some cases you can be charged fines if you park in no parking areas.  In either case the app will warn you so that you know what to do.   When there are not required parking areas, please be aware that vehicles may not be parked on streets, your city has designated the area for parking with paint, decals or signs. We suggest our riders park our scooters and e-bikes out of the way of pedestrians. We also ask our riders to be courteous and mindful of ADA access.

  • Where can I not ride?

      • Restricted areas are determined by the local municipalities and can include trails, creek ways, plazas, parks, sidewalks or sacred areas. These areas show in red on the map in our app.

  • Do I need to wear a helmet?

      •  Blue Duck recommends that riders always wear a helmet when riding. However, you may check your local laws to see if a helmet is required while riding in your city.

  • How old do I have to be to rent a scooter?

      • The person operating the scooter or e-bike must be at least 18 years of age.

  • How many devices can I rent at once?

      • Blue Duck users are only able to rent one scooter or e-bike per user. We do not allow the unlocking of multiple scooters or e-bikes per user.

  • What do I do if there is no bike lane?

      • In the absence of a bike lane, riders may ride on streets which have a speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less. Riding on sidewalks is dependent on your local laws. Riders must obey all state and city traffic laws.

  • I am having trouble with my device or the app, what should I do?

      • We are sorry to hear that! We want our riders to have a good experience with our app. Make sure you have the most current version of our app installed. If so and you’re still having trouble, make a support ticket in the app or call our Customer Service Department at 833-258-3382.

  • I need a refund. What should I do?

      • If you have received a charge in error, make a support ticket in the app or call our Customer Service Department at 833-258-3382 for assistance.

  • Are scooters dangerous?

      • Blue Duck Scooters are safe to drive if operated responsibly. We recommend that riders always wear a helmet when riding. Learn more about safety at www.flyblueduck.com/safety

  • How many riders per scooter or e-bike?

    • Blue Duck has a strict one-rider-per-scooter or e-bike policy. Multiple riders on one device can pose a safety hazard for individuals involved and may violate local laws.
