Community Invited for Safety Demonstrations, Public Input

SAN ANTONIO, 30 JANUARY 2020 – Blue Duck, a Texas-based electric scooter company operating in Texas and the Southeastern U.S., will conduct a Scooter Town Hall in the City of Bryan, Texas, on Tuesday, February 4th. The event will take place in partnership with the City of Bryan at 6 p.m. at the Palace Theater, 105 S. Main Street in Bryan.

Blue Duck representatives will join City staff and attendees in an open discussion to answer questions and gather feedback from the public about the pilot program in Bryan.

“We are committed to engaging with stakeholders in every community we serve,” said Megan McNamara, Blue Duck Senior Director of Government Partnerships. “Town Halls such as this are a great way for us to learn how to refine our operations to be certain we are meeting each city’s unique needs,” she added.

Besides participating in the public discussion at the Town Hall, attendees will have the opportunity to fill out surveys to give detailed feedback. Blue Duck representatives will provide safety demonstrations and helmet giveaways. All are invited to attend; no RSVP is required.

About Blue Duck Scooters

Blue Duck Scooters is an electric scooter operator focused on Texas and the Southeastern United States. Blue Duck’s approach — Micromobility, Southern Style™ — sets it apart from other scooter operators. This begins by working closely with cities, universities, and corporate campuses to design cleantech, last-mile transportation solutions tailored to their specific needs. Blue Duck then invests in superior micromobility assets and hires employees rather than using contractors to deploy, collect, maintain, and charge its scooters out of a local operations center.
